It was nice to have a 3 day weekend, and I felt like playing something new. So I decided to rent Guitar Hero: Metallica. I've been wanting to rent this to see if it would be worth buying. I didn't want to pick this one up if most of the songs were more hard than fun, like some of the really hard ones in past Guitar Hero games. My brother in-law and I played this two days straight and pretty much finished it on expert. In the end there were 5-10 songs we skipped since we were trying to do as much on expert as we could. Unlike other Guitar Hero games, this is the first I got an achievement for completing the game on expert. Past games only give you this if you finish every song on that difficulty. This one only needed you to get through all the venues and finish the final song.
This game has a pretty good song list, a lot of Metallica classics and lots of other music. This game definitely captures the feeling of a live concert a lot better than other Guitar Hero games. The band actually interacted with the crowd like they would at a real show. All the venues are very cool, and some are right from their tours.
