Yesterday, once again, was my 32nd birthday! And like every year I go out to eat someplace nice and hope to get new games to play. This year didn't dissapoint. (If it did I might not say, who knows who's reading.) I did receive two great titles I hadn't picked up yet out of my list of 5 or so. I got 2 PS3 games, God of War 3 and LittleBigPlanet. Both of which I've played the demos and wanted the games. I started God of War 3 today and it is awesome! I also started LittleBigPlanet with others and it's a great multiplayer game. I also recieved a couple gift cards to the PlayStation store, which is a first. SO now I need to decided what to get from there. Anyway it was a fun birthday away from work. I spent the morning playing more Assassin's Creed 2, which I'm playing slowly. And I spent the afternoon watching my latest Harry Potter Blu-ray and playing Super Street Fighter 4. Not bad for one day.

Now that Christmas has come and gone it's time to reflect on how this one went...gamingwise of course! I got some pretty cool stuff from family, like computer parts, books, beef jerky, ect. But it's my wife that rocked this year. Besides a few small things she got me the new Prince of Persia game for PS3 and Guitar Hero world Tour for XBOX 360. Both are awesome gifts. I've only checked out Prince of Persia but plan to play it as soon as I beat Dragonquest VIII. But I've been rocking out to Guitar Hero whenever I get a chance. And I didn't just get the game I also got the new guitar! (I didn't get the whole band set.) The game is sweet, and the new guitar is awesome. it's closer to the size of a real guitar and has the new touch pads where you can do different things to make the song sound cool. There is also a button for star power so you don't have to try to find the select button if you don't want to tilt the guitar. Anyways I also got Metroid Prime 3 for the Wii, which I've wanted to use my zapper on. Overall I didn't get as many games as I wanted, there are still some newer ones I don't have yet, but Christmas was still good. I played a lot of Guitar Hero with family and friends. Also the books I got were the Halo book series. So I guess I did get a bunch of game related gifts after all.

Well after weeks of getting ready with decorating and shopping, Christmas has finally come and gone once again. And now that it's over, it's time to play with all the new stuff I got. The weird thing is I didn't really get the number of games I have in the past, I only got 2 games. But that's okay, it's still a good Christmas for gaming. The reason being is my new PlayStation Portable my wife gave me, along with Final Fantasy Tactics. And I also received the Final Fantasy Anniversary Edition from friends. I also got some gift cards which I've already used for some PSP accessories, a new case and a 4GB memory stick. I also was able to get Silent Hill Origins from Gamestop for free! And it was the last one they had. So now I'm ready for some all out PSP gaming. And since I don't have to go back to work till the new year, I've got plenty of time to break it in!
