Time changes from day to night with some realistic looking sunsets/sunrises.

Pretty decent graphics, some pretty cool screen effects.

Total openness, you can pretty much go anywhere on road or off.

Another racing game that is almost impossible to play when night time comes. Not quite as bad as Burnout Paradise though.
