Resistance: Fall of man is the first huge game for the PS3 and has been hyped up as probably the best and only good release title for the system. Well since I got a PS3 I decided to only pick this one up for that reason. I think that this one is probably the most impressive title yet. But there are a few other decent games out to from what I've seen. But this game is definitely a great buy if you like first person shooters. I usually don't get into first person shooters one game consoles just for the control, I'm more of a pc gamer in that area. (With the exception of Halo) First of all this game looks awesome. This does looks a lot like what a computer could do, just a ton smoother. In HD this game looks so sharp it's hard to believe it runs so smooth. I've seen battlefields with constant explosions and tons of people fighting while there are plenty of environmental effects and never once have noticed a drop in the frame rate, definitely impressive. The sound is great also, this game has pretty good surround. I still think Halo has the best surround but this is great to crank up.

One thing that I thought looked cool about this game was the new twist on a World War II game. I've been getting tired of all the WWII games out now, it's like there always a new one with the basically the same missions. I think they've been going downhill since Call of Duty came on the scene. But this game takes place during WWII but you end up fighting a more futuristic alien-like enemy instead of how it really happened. The game takes WWII era weapons and cities and throws in sci-fi like elements. This makes for a intriguing game. The levels in the game are pretty straight forward, there isn't a lot of exploring you can do. You just pretty much fight from beginning to end, this might be one downside, I like to explore all I can while I fight. The control is pretty decent for a console game one you get used to it, similar to Halo. I am tempted to plug in a keyboard and mouse to really kick some butt.

I've also been playing with the online multiplayer. It's pretty awesome, and fun to play online from my couch. You can either play games with anyone or a ranked game where it figures out your skill level and puts with comparable players. I've found this makes for a pretty fun experience. The levels I played are pretty huge and awesome looking. This is where I can explore the levels some. But there are a lot of people playing with me so I still try to get a good weapon and take them out. I think there can be up to 40 people, but the maps are big enough to accommodate that many pretty good. So far I think this game is about as good as it's been said to be. Definitely makes me what to play more PS3, we just need more good titles.
