I picked up Final Fantasy XIII today, went to the nearest Best Buy, and played it for 5 and a half hours straight. If I didn't have to get up early the next day I'd play all night. It's amazing, from the graphics to the gameplay. And to get myself ready for this momentous occasion, for the past week I immersed myself in Final Fantasy. All I listened to was Final Fantasy related music, from the soundtracks to techno remixes. I listed through the soundtracks for Final Fantasy IV, VII, VIII, IX, X and the best of the rest of the games. I also been playing Final Fantasy VIII on my lunch breaks at work on my PSP. On my way to get the game I had my phone/mp3 player rocking the music in my car all the way to best buy. (I had to do this since my CD player is busted in my car.) I was tempted to have it ready to play the victory music as I walked out of Best Buy after purchasing the game, but that might have been a little over the top. (Or would it!?) I also picked up the collector strategy guide not knowing this was actually a limited release. No I'm glad I got it with the game!
