Resident Evil: Deadly Silence

Resident Evil: Deadly Silence looked like another cool port of the original Resident Evil game, but it turned out to be pretty disappointing. Probably the coolest thing about it is that they tried to bring this directly over from the PSone. With the original movies, voices, graphics. They did about as good a job as possible for the DS. The movies are really low quality, probably to fit them on the DS. Everything else is pretty comparable, just on a smaller screen. They did try to add in some new touch screen functionality like all DS games. They added in some new zombie fights where it suddenly goes first person and you have to use the screen to swing your knife. This just didn't seem to fit into this game; it was sort of weird I thought. My biggest complaint about this is the sound. They have the original voice acting which is cool. But the game is pretty quite; even with headphones on I was distracted by other sounds. Now I know isn't my DS, when I play Mario it almost drowns everything else out. I guess this would be cool for those that have played the original Resident Evil and don't have a PSone. But for us who have, I'll take my PSone over this one any day.
