This shouldn't have happened...

A month later and I still haven't finished Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. But I haven't been playing this a whole lot lately. I am at the final battle now and tried to beat it last night. And of course my game has to be stupid. The battle isn't too hard, it just takes a while. After spending 20 minutes or so, I finally had him almost dead. There are points in the battle where you can jump up on the boss for a little while to do some good damage than you'll get knocked off and fall to the bottom of the screen. Well this happened a number of time, no biggie. But then it happened and I was waiting at the bottom of the screen for him. But he never came back down. So I got stuck there and couldn't fight him anymore. But it's not like I got a game over or something. The battle kept going, but I had no on to fight. And he wasn't dead. I let it go for at least 5 minutes and he never came back. It's like he got stuck. I couldn't find any help on the internet, so after it sat a while I decided I'd have to try again later. This sucks since I now have to spend more time on it. But I will beat it tonight, since Kingdom Hearts 2 will be out in a day or so. So this better not happen again!

Traveling with Kingdom Hearts: COM

I got a hold of this game in preparation for a trip with some friends, thought it'd be a good way to pass the time. Plus I've been wanting to play it before Kingdom Hearts 2 came out, since it takes place between to two games. I had a hard time finding it in stores, so I checked on EBay. I ended up getting a good deal on it, brand new still wrapped in the box. Anyways I've probably played at least half of it over the past weekend. So far it's pretty sweet. The graphics are a 2D cartoon like version of Kingdom Hearts, since it's for GBA. But they did a great job on the characters. Most of the game is revisiting places from Kingdom Hearts, with a new twist. The battle system is a lot different, instead of being an action RPG, you have to use cards to do attacks. The battles are sort of menu driven, as you have your cards to choose from to determine what to do. The battles are always active, so you have to decide which cards to use fast. There are tons of cards and ways to use them, so it can be sort of confusing at times. But it's not a big deal as the game is pretty easy. I've only got stuck once, and I just had to raise some levels and I was fine. The music is a lot like Kingdom Hearts, since you go to the same places. Probably the coolest thing so far is this game uses full motion videos at certain points in the story. They are of course not as complex as PS2, but they look pretty sweet on the GBA. Never really seen other games do it like this. So far this is a pretty fun game and is going fast, I put 12 hours on over the weekend. I definitely can't wait to finish it.
