Unlike FF7 for the pc, Final Fantasy VIII is done quite nicely. This time it was done by SquareEnix and it's not a stupid port. Overall this one looks great and compares to the PlayStaton version and is even better in some areas. Once again the world map and battles are amazing, since they are real-time rendered. But the rest of the game, pre-rendered backgrounds, FMVs, sound quality is just as good as the PlayStation. Just get yourself a good pc controller and your all set. I guess the main question is do you want to play this at a computer desk, or on your couch with your PlayStation. I opted for PlayStation since I had it first, but this one was worth playing as well. Check out my PlayStation Final Fantasy VIII page for more info and reviews.
