This is a title I've been waiting for for a while. Drakengard was a great game that combined aspects of Dragon Flying (like Panzer Dragoon) with huge battle action (like Dynasty Warriors). I thought it was done nicely and was a lot of fun, with a lot to do. And this game seems like it won't disappoint. Drakengard 2 picks up 18 years after the first one with a new hero. This game play pretty much the same as the first, but seems to have a lot more weapons and playable characters. The weapon system is a tad different. They still have the weapon wheel thing, but you can assign weapons the main character can't use, but it'll bring other characters in battle. And you can now put items in there to quickly choose from. No more waiting for something to be dropped in battle to heal yourself. This game also looks awesome. The graphics are definitely enhanced upon the first. There are better visual effect and detail in the massive battles, along with some sweet movies. My favorite effect is the sparks the fly from you sword if you hit walls or an enemy's sword. It looks very cool. There is also more artwork in the game that helps give this a better fantasy RPG feel. When characters talk they don't show a close up of the 3D character's head in the corner of the screen like the first game. They now have nice artwork for the character that's talking, and it changes to show expressions or mood. I prefer artwork like this in Rags, it just helps give it a nicer presentation. The voice acting so far isn't too bad. I still have the same thought about it in this one like I did in Drakengard. WHY CAN'T WE PLAY IT IN THE ORIGINAL JAPANESE?!! It makes no sense, lot of games give you the choice. But big titles rarely do. But it's not a big deal. I just wish you had the choice in Final Fantasy games, but that's beside the point. So far the soundtrack seems pretty promising and should be another good one. I definitely can't wait to immerse myself in this game, but it might be a little while with Kingdom Hearts 2 coming out soon and I still haven't finished Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. What to do...
