The Matrix: Path of NeoPS2 -

So far from what I've seen of the game, Matrix: Path of Neo is probably the best matrix based game yet. Mainly for the game play, the fighting engine used allows you to do awesome Neo moves with ease. And you can do way cooler moves and combos against multiple enemies without having to think to much about it. Path of Neo is the way I'd want to play a Matrix game, as Neo. You get to start out as Thomas Anderson and have to play through the movie events to become the one. And in some areas you can make things happen different from the movie. You also get to go through Neo's training in classic kung-fu style. There are also plenty of weapons to use, and you can do some pretty cool shooting moves why you fly through the air. But I personally think the hand to hand combat is easier and more fun. This game sort of has a RPG feel to it, since as you play the game you have to "build" Neo up by learning new moves and techniques. There is also more than just the movie events in this game. Besides a long training session that wasn't in the movie, after you get past the first movie there are events that you play before the events in Matrix: Reloaded. This could make the game pretty long.

If you like cool Matrix action with lots of bullet-time than check this one out. But one area I found lacking was the graphics. The cut scenes look pretty good, and there are lots of clips from the movies, but when you're actually playing it could look better. The graphics look sort of grainy and not too sharp, and at times the game's framerate jumps around noticeably. Mainly the environments, the characters are pretty good, looking like the characters from the movies. It seems it could have been done better, so this might be one that would look better on the computer. The sound on the other hand is pretty cool, with great Matrix music from the movies. The voice acting at times gets sort of weird, but isn't terrible. But it's still a sweet game with all the Matrix action you expect. I'll definitely have to rent this one again sometime to finish it.
