I've almost unlocked all the tracks in this game, and I'm sure there is still a lot more to do, but I've noticed a few things about this game already. First of all it is a great looking game, definitely improved over the last Mario Kart games. It still plays the same and is a ton of fun. There are a lot of tracks, many of which are remakes from past Mario Kart games. But it's the little changes that I don't care for, some of which were cool improvements that should have stayed in the game. Like the special weapons each character had in Double Dash. That was fun, even though at times it felt like someone was cheating. But I guess they replaced this with a bunch of new weapons for everyone. Also the multiplayer isn't as good. You can no longer play multiplayer in the Cup races. You can play through the tracks in a "Multiplayer Cup", but it's not the real game. Also if you battle, you now have teams. You can't seem to be able to do any 1-on-1 battles. since most of the teams are the AI controlled characters, they always seem to do better and win. I was surprised how good the motion control is with the steering wheel like motion. It's very responsive and works a lot better than I thought it would. You can also still use the Gamecube controllers to play if you want to.
