When I first played God of War I remember thinking that this game would be hard to top. The graphics were great and the story was very cool. But most of all the game play was awesome! It wasn't just your standard action game. There was something that made it way more fun than most. This mostly came from the unique type of weapons in the game that could lead to crazy attacks and combo moves. Plus toss in awesome magic and killer attack scenes just makes for a great game. well I may have been mistaken, God of war II seems like it is just as good as the first and then some, so far the game play is pretty much the same. There are new attacks and new types of magic that makes it fun. There also some new flying levels that are interesting. And once again you can do crazy kill attacks on big enemies where you watch a sweet cut scene of Kratos killing the monster while you have to hit the right button at the right time to keep it going. some of these are the same as the first game, but there are new enemies and new scenes to make it more exciting. You can also build up your weapons and magic like in the first. It seems easier now and might go a little faster.

This game also looks awesome. The graphics are more detailed and sharper then the first. After comparing the two, this one looks great. The characters and monsters are highly detailed and the levels have more to them, mainly better lighting effects. Plus much of the cut scenes look like they're on the verge of FMVs, they are very sharp. The FMVs in the game are of course a lot better looking and are the same style as the first game. Anyways, this game seems like it'll be a better game then the first, but I still have a lot to go.
